Being Good
Being Good is important to us at Signify. For us, it means supporting the communities we live and work in, being environmentally sustainable and looking after our people.
Our team are required to regularly donate time to community and charity organisations, and we’re also a committed sponsor of Wellington City Mission. We are committed to donating our expertise to worthy organisations such as the St James Theatre, the Tawa Toy Library, and the New Zealand Drug Foundation with pro bono work. At a different level, we support the Promoting Generosity initiative, a collaboration lead by Philanthropy New Zealand, Volunteering New Zealand, The Office for the Community & Voluntary Sector and IHC, by donating some of our Managing Director's time to work on the Hub.
We measure, monitor and actively try and reduce our carbon footprint. We participate in the United Nations Environment Programme's Climate Neutral Network and we work with Landcare Research's carboNZero programme to offset our carbon emissions.
The team are actively encouraged to have an appropriate work-life balance, and we mandate an eight-hour day work expectation, which is monitored and enforced by our management team. Our team have their birthdays off work as paid leave.
