Myrtle Rust in New Zealand

The Story

In the fight against Myrtle Rust, the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) engaged with iwi and councils in affected regions to look at ways that MPI can support communities who wish to conduct their own biosecurity activities.

The Brief

To help foster that community engagement and to provide a toolbox to be used in the fight against Myrtle Rust, MPI sought a new website in need to create a new brand and accompanying illustrative designs. 

What we did

We created a Myrtle Rust subsite on the existing Bionet site that was built for MPI. Because it is a subsite the new site will automatically be able to take advantage of existing site functionality and features. We also created a logo suite and full brand guidelines for the site along with other illustrations reflective of botanical taonga.
